Psychedelics are not about improving mental health. There, I said it. Psychedelics are not about having a slightly better day at the office, productivity, or optimizing your portfolio of cryptocurrencies. They might help you discover a life more rich with meaning, saturated in wonder, or centered in truth. But this is not an easy road.
Glad to be here with you, Simon, and to be able to follow where you’re heading with your work. Very much looking forward to your book when that time comes.
The way you are able to express my own inner-conflicts of being part of the psychedelic space sometimes is uncanny. Essentially science and spirit are not separate and the way it's become divided in the space is just simply put a bummer. It personally led me to step away from it all last year and decide how or where I might fit into the "renaissance" or if I even belong in it at all right now. My first entires are also going to be about bringing the soul back into the creative path, content creation, and how relying on Spirit has ultimately done more for me than dialing in my productivity or habits or routine, etc.... you beat me to it!!
It's so nice to see a familiar face here Simon. I wish you all the best with this venture and your new book! Bravo!!
Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment, Stephanie. I certainly feel everything you've said, and have found myself at many points wanting to let it all go as well. It has been an interesting exercise in letting go of control, noticing when, if, how, and why I might be getting anxious or distraught at the rapid pace of the so-called-"renaissance," and coming back to Self. And as you said- returning to spirit always provides the best medicine.
The risk is the materialism and commercialisation of psychedelics and the reductionist approach of trying to find the elements, protocols and reproducible elements for mass production.
The soul literally being taken out of the initial processes.
Thank you for eloquently articulating how I have been feeling about this for a long time. Looking forward to the book.
Thank you, Vesper. Glad the words resonate. I'm looking forward to it too!

Glad you're here too, John. Appreciate you following the journey! I'm excited for it too. Next Fall!
Wonderful words, brother. I'm very much looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of the book. 🙏
Thank so much, Asher. I'm beyond excited. Might have to arrange a little Aussie book tour, eh?!

Amazing.
